Diploma in Acupuncture (D.Ac.)
Duration of Course : Six Months,(One Month -only for Foreign Students)
Eligibility : Undergraduates or post graduates of Allopathy, Ayurveda, Unnani ,Naturopathy or
Homoeopathy and graduates of Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Physiotherapists.
Examination Format
Clinical Examination - 30min (40/100)
Viva Voce - 10min (10/100)
Theory (M.C.Q) - 120min(50/100)
A 50% mark is necessary to pass the examination. Failure to obtain 50% in the clinical examination is considered as a failure.
Post Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture.( PG.D.Ac.)
Duration of Course : One Year
Eligibility : Successful Candidates of D.Ac

Xie, Traditional laws of acupuncture in therapy, Systematic therapy- Modern method, Ancillary Methods, Traditional Chinese Therapeutics, Clinical Orientation ,
Examination Format
Clinical Examination – 40 min. for history taking, examination, diagnosis and
management plan.(Diagnosis should be both of modern method as well as the
traditional method)- 20min. for discussion. (50/100)

Doctor of Medicine in Acupuncture M.D(Acu.)
Duration of Course : Three Years and Internship Six Months.

B). Microbiology, Medical Parasitology, Community Medicine, Pathology.

C). Acupuncture (I)-
History of acupuncture, Scientific basis of acupuncture, Materials and Techniques, Sterilization of needles and care of needles, Methods of locating acupuncture points, Posture of patients and methods of puncture, Stimulation and Needling sensation, Gate control theory of pain, Physiological effects of acupuncture, Complications and contraindications to acupuncture, Anatomy of acupuncture, yin and yang and zang –fu organs, Zang – fu functions, Channels,Extraordinary points, Unnumbered extra-ordinary points, Prohibited points and Dangerous points, Principles of selection of points by modern method.

Osteopathy
DEFINITION: A system of medicine based on the theory that disturbances in the musculoskeletal system affect other bodily parts, causing many disorders that can be corrected by various manipulative techniques in conjunction with conventional medical, surgical, pharmacological, and other therapeutic procedures.
Having accomplished the general and specific objectives of Osteopathy training, the graduate doctor, upon completion of the educational program in Osteopathy, will be competent to function as a consultant in Osteopathy practice.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES: During the course of the residency, the resident must acquire a satisfactory knowledge of the principles common to all Osteopathy practice. These principles include shock, resuscitation, post-treatment care and complications, trauma to all parts of the body and the response to trauma, fluid, electrolyte and acid base disturbances, infections, neoplasia, bleeding, coagulation, thrombosis, immunology, clinical pharmacology, genetics and epidemiology and biostatistics.
In addition, the resident must have clinical competence in, and detailed knowledge of the scientific rationale for the treatment of the entire musculoskeletal system. The resident must be at least familiar, and preferably have had exposure to spinal treatment techniques requiring transthoracic and transabdominal approaches. It is highly desirable that the resident has experience in, and knowledge of, basic prosthetics and orthotics and the medical aspects of rheumatic disease.
Doctor of Medicine in Osteopathy (D.O.)
Duration of Course: Three Years and Internship Twelve Months.
Eligibility: MD (MA), MD (ACU) MD (HOM) B Sc. Biology
